Drainage Tenders
A tender for $208,757.10 from Ryan Brothers Contrac tors, Ltd, has been accepted by the Christchurch Drainage Board for a stormwater relief contract in the Waltham area—section I and sewer duplication, Mackenzie Avenue. Other tenders received were $234,597.14 and $246,410.30. The contract for the Sumtier interceptor sewer system —section five and No. 31 rising main—went to Owen Stopforth, Ltd, with a tender of $22,536.70. The only othei tender was for $22,951.64. A contract for section foui sewer reticulation in the Sockbum area went to Smith Brothers who submited the only tender at $30,629.15.
Section three of the Scarborough sewer reticulation contract went to P. Mullan, Ltd, with a tender of $2928.50 Other tenders received were $3189, $3395, and $3609.10. The tender of $168,455.90 from McConnell Dowell, Ltd, was accepted for section two of the Woolston Industrial sewer contract. Other tenders were $168,116, $198,916, and $239,088.
A contract for the supply of cast iron pipes, bends and fittings—No. 31 pumping station—went to Burgess and Storey Foundry Company with a tender of $870.95, the only one received.
