New South Wales and New Zealand each won two rubbers, New South Wales gaining the verdict by eight points, when the Australian men’s team amateur squash championship was continued in Perth on Tuesday night.
In a five-set match that lasted just over an hour D. Burmeister (New Zealand) beat C. Nancarrow. K. Hiscoe (New South Wales) was extended by C. Waugh in another stirring smuggle. Results: —
South Australia B beat Tasmania, 4-0; Victoria beat Queensland, 3-1; New South Wales beat New Zealand by 8 points, 2 rubbers each (New South Wales names first): K. Hiscoe beat C. Waugh, 9-6, 2-9, 0-9, 9-2, 9-4; C. Nancarrow lost to D. Burmedster, 9-6, 7-9, 9-6, 4-9; R. Carter beat J. Isaacs, 93, 9-1, 9-1; R. Ratinac lost to T. Johnston, 4-9, 8-10, 9-10.
