AUST. REPORTS Hume Div. Steady On Higher Capital

MELBOURNE, August 27.
Humes, Ltd, will pay a steady 124 per cent dividend on ordinary capital increased by a one for eight bonus issue in the year to June 30.
The full year’s dividend payout is equivalent to 14.0625 per cent on pre-bonus capital. Final dividends of 61 per cent on ordinary shares, 3} per cent on “A” preference •nd 3j per cent On “B” preference shares will absorb $688,125.
Humes, Ltd, lifted paid capital by $1,175,000 to $10,575,000 with a bonus issue last September. Final dividend for 1967-68 will be paid immediately after the annual general meeting on October 8 to shareholders registered on September 10.
Audited results for the group will be available next week.
Gt Boulder Aims At Internal Finance
Great Boulder Gold Mines, Ltd, aimed to finance as much as possible of its nio kel development within Australia, the chairman (Mr N. E. Nilsen) said. “There’s lota of money here if you have something worth while,” he said. Mr Nilsen was commenting on a London report which named Charter Consolidated, a big British investment and finance group, headed by Mr Harry Oppenheimer, as a “logical source of finance.” A London “Daily Telegraph” report quoted by A.A.P. said: “More capital would be needed to finance production. “Rumours that Mr Oppenheimer’s Charter Consolidated had acquired 9 per cent of Great Boulder have so far been denied.”
