Trial Squad Named
A squad of 13 players was named yesterday by the Canterbury soccer selector (Mr R C. Carter) to play for the senior eleven against the under 20s in a representative trial at Riccarton Domain on Sunday.
It is: D. Phillips. O. Nuttridge, G. Davis, W. McKenna, A. Gowans. G. Evans, S. Squire. T. Haydon’ K. France, B. Hammond. F. Madrussan, S. Smith, D. Watson. Players not available were B. Wilkinson, V. Pollard. G. Griffiths, A. Hawthorn.
The national coach (Mr J. Schwanner), who will be In Christchurch from Saturday to Tuesday, will attend the trial.
