Easy Wins In Badminton
Two members of the Indonesian team playing in the New Zealand badminton championships had easy wins over two of New Zealand's promising players in the first round of the championships at Dunedin last evening. Retne Kustiaho beat Miss G. Steel, a member of the New Zealand youth team to tour Australia next week, 11-1, 11-1, and Nureianenu beat Miss J. Probert, a reserve for that team, 11-1, 11-1.
The Canterbury champion, Miss G. Hampton, was beaten by the South Island champion, Miss R. Glenle, in the second round of the girls’ singles.
