Eight-Storey Flats Block

An eight-storey block of flats will be built next to Millbrook Flats at the corner . of Rhodes Street and 1 Carlton Mill Road. Construction of the $160,000 block is expected to begin within three months. Of 15 two-bedroom units, the block will be named Garlinge Apartments, after a Welsh village. The manager of Williams Construction Canterbury, Ltd (Mr D. J. Campbell), yesterday said that the Garlinge high-density project would be the fourth for Williams Pro- s perty Developments in | Christchurch in recent years.
