Cadets Parade At Burnham
Three hundred and seventyseven cadets from 14 South Island schools held a ceremonial parade at Bumham Military Camp yesterday to mark the end of training courses which they began on August 18; “This parade is one of the best 1 have seen from cadets in quite a few years,” said the commander of the Southern Military District (Brigadier W. R. K. Morrison) after he had inspected the cadets. The pargde was watched by parents and relatives of the cadets. One hundred cadets attended a course for senior non-commissioned officers and the rest a junior course. The purpose of the two courses was to train the cadets as instructors for their own school units.
