Trading at Christchurch produce markets yesterday followed the pattern of recent Mondays, with only a fair demand for average supplies of vegetables. Tomatoes dropped 5c per lb. when they sold at between 38c and 60c per lb. Leeks were also cheaper by about 60c a case. The official price range supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers' Association is: Silver Beet.—To *1.25 a case. Beetroot.—To 30c a bos. Pumpkins.—To S 7 a sack. Cabbages.—To 51.50 a case. To S 3 a bag. Carrots.—4oc to $1 a case. Cauliflowers. —To 51.70 a case. Onions.—To 53.75 a sugar-bag. Parsnips.—To 50c a box. Sprouts.—S3.so to 55.20 a case.
