COMMITTEE PROTESTS
‘Parallel With Vietnam’

WELLINGTON, Aug. 25.
Members of the Committee on Vietnam were admitted to the Soviet Legation on Saturday morning and registered a protest at Russian intervention in Czechoslovakia, the committee’s deputy chairman (Mr I. Forsyth) said this afternoon. He said he had informed the Soviet press secretary, Mr Pozdnayakov, that Russian action in Czechoslovakia parallelled American action in Vietnam and that the right of small nations to determine their own destiny free from outside big-Power interference was at stake in both conflicts.
