WOOL BOARD REQUEST

WELLINGTON, Aug. 26.
the Wool Board’s request to the Government for a dollar-for-dollar contribution to the cost of wool promotion overseas and research was discussed by the Cabinet today. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) confirmed this tonight and added that the question was now in the hands of the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) and the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Taiboys).
Mr Holyoake said the two Ministers would hold further discussions with the Wool Board and the Wool Commission on the question.
