The England cricket selectors have asked the coloured batsman, B. D’Oliveira, if he will be available to tour his native South Africa with the M.C.C.
D’Oliveira, who scored 158 in the fifth test against Australia, replied: “Yes, naturally.” The selectors will meet tn London today to choose the party of 18 which will be announced after M.C.C.
approval tomorrow or J. Thursday.
D’Oliveira, who has already played for England against Australia, West Indies, India and Pakistan, was reported to be extremely keen to play in his native country.

The South African Prime Minister (Mr Vorster) announced last April that non-white players from countries which had tradltional ’P ortin g ties with South Africa would be allowed to compete against South African whites.
