Boys’ Chess
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Results in the first round of the New Zealand schoolboy chess championships. which began in Dunedin yesterday were:— P. Garbett (Mount. Albert Grammar School, Auckland) beat R. Chaplin (Christchurch Boys’ High School); P. Kelly (Freyberg High School, Palmerston North) beat R. Thomson (Southland Boys' High School).
