AUCKLAND.
A penalty stroke early In the game gave Auckland victory over Wellington in the first round of the national colts hockey tournament at Hobson Park yesterday.
Other winners in this section were southern districts and southern minors. Eastern districts, Canterbury and western districts had wins in the pool matches.

A Pool. Canterbury I. North Auckland 0; Eastern Districts 2: Auckland B t; Western Districts 3, Central Districts 0.
B Bool.—southern Districts 2, Otago 1; Southern Minors 4, Maadi Area 1; Auckland A 1, Wellington 0.
