Sin—Could a knowledgeable reader give the date when a “hundred” weight was changed to 112 pounds? The latter gives halves, four quarters, eight stones, and 16 seven-pound packs. The former was too clumsy for retailers. Can anyone give reasons for changing back?— Yours, etc., INTERESTED TEACHER. August 21, 1968.
