N.Z.-Bred Winners At Warwick Farm

fN.Z.P.A. Staff correspondent; SYDNEY. The New Zealand-bred horse,. Broker’s Tip, Shakedown and Prince Grant, each recorded fine performances at Warwick Farm on Saturday. Broker's Tip gained an imSressive win in the East Hills ovice Handicap (one mile), and Shakedown turned in a good trial for the Epsom Handicap by winning a six-furlong event.

Prince Grant made an Impressive comeback in the Spring Handicap (U miles), in which he was burdened with »-7 on a holding track, and went down by a head to Cranlelgh. the form horse of the race.

New Zealand-bred horaea won five of the seven races on the card.

Special Trip The owner, Mr H. t. Steinberg, made a special trip from New Zealand to watch Broker's Tip, a Summertime three-year-old. win his race.

Broker's Tip made the pace and held on easily to win by a length and a half from Supreme Prince with Wilton Park four lengths away third. Planet Boy was fourth, to give tbe first four places to New Zealand-bred three-year-olds.

Shakedown, a five-year old by Chatsworth 11. finished strongly to win the Wallacia Handicap by a abort head from King's Delight. Although he has never won beyond seven furlongs. Shakedown's trainer, J. Green, is hopeful he will run out the mile of the Epsom. The New Zealand-bred Cranleigh scored hts third successive win over a mile and a half In three weeks when he just managed to hold off Prince Grant In the Spring Handicap. Lease King was three lengths away third.

All the honour went to Prince Grant, which seemed a certain loser when he waa forced four wide on the home turn. No Advice, a tour-year-old by We Don’t Know, and Matey, a Messmate slxyear-old. completed the New Zealand-bred winning list by scoring in the Mulgoa Encourage Handicap and the Rossmore Welter, both of one mile.
