Transplants Criticism
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BULAWAYO, August 25. The heart transplant surgeon, Professor Christiaan Barnard, stormed on to the platform at the Rhodesian International Medical Congress last night to protest against remarks by a British surgeon. Professor R. Caine, of Cambridge, had suggested that an independent team of doctors should decide whether an organ donor was dead before the transplant surgeon could use the organs.
