Student Told Many Dead
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BOLZANA (Italy), Aug. 23.
A student at Charles University, Prague, reached by telephone from Bolzana, yesterday said Soviet troops had occupied the university buildings and there were “many dead.” The student, who refused to give his name, told a fellow student telephoning from the Italian news agency office that classes had been suspended.
‘The situation is terrible,” he added.
As the student in Prague was advising his friend not to return there, the call was abruptly cut off at the Prague end.
