Shirley Second In D.C.L. Shield Rugby
The 1968 senior Rugby competition ended on Saturday when the final games of the D.C.L. Shield contest were played Little depended on the final matches, for Linwood had emerged a clear winner the previous week, but by defeating University B, Shirley took second place.
Entering the final round second equal with Shirley, Sydenham lost to Linwood and slipped back to third. Marist was well beaten by Albion. After the match at Lancaster Park Mr C. H. McPhail,
