‘NO THRE AT TO JOBS’
Dobson Public Servants (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. August 21. The job security of public servants employed by the Mines Department was not threatened by the closing of the Dobson mine, the Minister of Mines (Mr Shand) said today. Mr Shand was replying to a statement by the secretaryorganiser of the Canterbury-WesUand-Buller area of the Public Service Association (Mr J M. McKenzie), reported by the Press Association from Greymouth on August 10. Thirteen public servants were involved in the closing of the Dobson mine, said Mr Shand.
