Police Seek Help
Christchurch detectives are inquiring about a large shifting spanner, 18in long, with which a masked man aimed a blow at the proprietor of the Hillsborough Store, Opawa, on the evening of Friday, August 2. The man, who was foiled in an attempt to rob the store, left the spanner at the scene. It is made of a shining alloy, and has “Andersons C 154” marked clearly on the head of it.
Any person who has seen the spanner in recent weeks is asked to get touch with the C. 1.8.
