Forecast: Coastal Marlborough and North Canterbury.—Southerlies still fresh in some exposed places near Cook Strait, but slowly decreasing; a few showers in eastern coastal areas otherwise fine; rising afternoon temperatures. Central and South Canterbury, Buller, Westland, Inland Marlborough and Nelson.— Moderate north-easterlies predominating; some cloudy areas at first; scattered drizzle patches especially about the eastern coasts; otherwise fine; slowly rising temperatures.
