World Premiere
A “world premiere” was given by the enterprising Little Dolphin Theatre at Onehunga on Saturday—of a musical, “Lovers in Trouble,” adapted by Derek Bailey, music master at the Manurewa High School, from Sheridan’s comedy "She Stoops to Conquer.” It is the theatre’s first musical production, and has
attracted overseas interest, which Mrs Veronica Dow, the producer, will follow up during a trip abroad later this year. Mr Bailey drew attention to himself at Warkworth a few years ago, with original productions with lyrics adapted by Doug Johnson and production by Mrs Dow.
