SOFTBALL DECISION
Association To Continue
The Canterbury Softball Association is still the governing body for softball in the city. The association’s committee last evening brought its membership to its full strength of eight by working within the constitution.
The rules relating to the powers of the executive allow it to alter, vary or rescind rules if such action would be in the interests of the association.
The committee bypassed the rules which stipulated that it should consist of four men and four women, and prevented any one club having more than two committee members.
The nominations of three Kaiapoi club members were accepted. Only two women, Misses A. Eder and S. Wright, both of Kaiapoi. were nominated, and they were elected to the com mittee with Messrs J. Miles (Kaiapoi). H. Gable (Deep Freeze), and K. H. Bingley (Richmond).
This gave the executive a strength of six men and two women.
