Course Betting Up Slightly
On-course totalisator turnover rose by F 9.50 at the Kurow Trotting Club's annual meeting at Oamaru on Saturday. The total was J 60.770.50, including 510,459.50 on the doubles. Off-course betting showed a minor decrease of $3760,50, amounting to $86,952. The drop was attributable to small fields for the last two races. Betting on these events showed a decline over the previous year. The meeting was held In perfect weather before a large crowd. The track was hard and dusty.
