STANDARD OF HOTELS
Some Require Modernising (N Z. Press Association > AUCKLAND. Aug. 11. Newer Auckland hotels are up to the standard of other tourist hotels in the South Pacific but the older ones will have to be modernised and remodelled to cater for the growing tourist traffic, according to a visiting American hotel consultant. Mr G. O. Podd, of Chicago, spent a day and a half in Auckland on his way to a tourist hotel conference in Melbourne later this month.
