NIXON’S CHOICE
Rockefeller Displeased
CN.Z. Press Assn. —Copt/riphO MIAMI BEACH (Florida), August 9.
An obviously displeased Governor Nelson Rockefeller grimly refused to comment today on the selection of the Maryland Governor, Mr Spiro T. Agnew, for the Republican Vice-Presidential nomination, the Associated Press reported. Aides of the New York Governor said privately that he is greatly irked by Mr Nixon’s choice of Governor Agnew, since Mr Agnew had switched from his original support of Mr Rockefeller to play a key role in helping Mr Nixon win the nomination.
