COMPUTER CHANGE
Specialists from Wellington will convert the Hornby branch of the Bank of New Zealand to computer processing this week-end. It will be the first branch in the South Island to be converted. A consortium company. Databank Systems, Ltd, has been formed by the Bank of New Zealand and the National Bank of New Zealand, Ltd. The company has computer centres in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch. For some months branches throughout the North Island have been brought into the new system; and 173 branches will be running a computer system by the end of the year.
