WELLINGTON, August 9. The Court of Appeal today dismissed an appeal by Peter Brian Mitchell Hodgson against his sentence to 12 months imprisonment by the Chief Justice (Sir Richard Wild) in the Gisborne Supreme Court on June 24, on his conviction for corruptly taking a bribe.

The offence occurred while the appellant was employed as an examining officer in the Customs Department in Gisborne.
