Lead Reduced In Billiards
(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The New Zealander, C. McConachy, reduced his deficit of 428 to 17 against R. Williams (Britain) in the world billiards championship last evening. McConachy, in his best form of the tournament, reached 4608 to Williams’s 4625, and the scene is set for a photo finish with only four hours of play remaining today. McConacny had breaks of 236, 146 and 147, and Williams a highest of 91.
