Ashburton Officers
Mr N. Robllllird wilt aerv. another term as president ot the Ashburton Trotting Club. His was the only nomination received for the position when nominations closed yesterday. The vice-presidents, Messrs A. M. Bruce and V. W. Russell, and the treasurer. Mr A. J. Nlcoll, have also been returned unopposed. The three members of the committee who retired bv rotation wll lalso be re-elected unopposed. They are Messrs D. M. Bruce. K. V. Hood and V. C. North. There were l« nominations for the stewards' positions, but only 14 are required so that an election will be necessary at the annual meeting of the club on August 29. The nominations are: Messrs K. M. Baxter, D. M. Bruce. R. J. Bruce. R A Burnett. P J. Cates. R. P Davidson, A. Henderson, K. V. Hood. W. C. Kennedy, R. L. Llndsav, F. 1 Lowe. W. F Lowe. V. C. North. W. G. Todd. T. Walker, M. G Wall.
