Girl Dies In Fire
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 8. A teen-age girl died and her father and stepmother were badly burned in a fire in a house at Wainuiomata early this morning. The dead girl was Sandra Greenaway, aged 14. Her father, Arthur George Greenaway, aged 52, and her stepmother, Olive Greenaway, aged 50, are in the Hutt Hospital. Mrs Greenaway is in a serious condition, and the condition of Mr Greenaway is described as fair. The fire was almost beyond control when the Wainuiomata Volunteer Fire Brigade arrived about 8 a.m. The alarm was given by a taxi driver.
