The group net profit of Broken Hill Pty, Ltd, Australia’s biggest industrial enterprise, rose $4,616.000—0r 10.9 per cent—to $46,787,000 in the year to May 31, according to a preliminary report. The result is after providing $5,327,000 more for depreciation at $80,507,000 and $5,965,000 less for tax at $26,345,000. The statement said that $4,275,000 has been appropriated for expected expenditure on mining plant and development.
