Rugby Shield Retained
(N.Z. Press Association) PAEROA. Dominating the line-outs and scrums. North Auckland, in a fine exhibition of handling and running, beat Thames Valley, 18-3, to retain the Coronation Shield in a representative Rugby match yesterday. North Auckland’s points came from three tries by D. R. Panther and one each by B. Holmes and R. Jones, while J. E. Young kicked a penalty. For Thames Valley, R. W. Kemp kicked a dropped goal.
