Management by objectives ’ (M. 8.0. will be introduced: to a seminar of 20 Christ-1 church businessmen on August 1 and 2 by Dr F. R. Wickert, professor of psycology and of graduate business administration at Michigan State University. Professor Wickert says j everv manager claims that he manages by objectives but ini fact this involves a wrench away from past procedures. | Most managers and sub-; ordinates appreciated the, value of periodic reviews of; performance but too often these deteriorated into hollow gestures. The main objective of, M. 8.0. was to inject fresh; life into the formal relationship between superior and ! l subordinate. . Professor Wickert will show hod to analyse the amount of M. 8.0. in industrial or government organisations, how to develop work sheets for superior-subordin-ate pairs, and how to adapt these work sheets to form new objectives.
