Students Win Basketball
University beat Rangiora. 31-14. in an A grade women s indoor basketboll match in Cowles Stadium last evening, but it was not until the second spell that the students got the upper hand.
C. Reuben and L. Rollinson played outstanding defensive games and it was only when they were fouled off and Rangiora was left with only four players on the court, that University raced ahead. J. Read man played another fine game in the centre for University. Scores were:—University 3J (J. Readman 10, A. Lees 6. N. van Noppen 6, D. Broughton 5, B. Davis 2, G. Hannam 2) beat Rangiora 14 (C.
