A GIFT FROM AKAROA TO THE NEW LINER AKAROA.—Captain M. Larrive, master of the new Shaw Savill liner Akaroa, being presented with a painting of Akaroa township and harbour by Mr G. P. A. de Latour, chairman of the Akaroa County Council, at a ceremony on board the ship in Auckland. The painting is by C. A. Genet. In return, Captain Larrive gave Mr de Latour a silver cigarette box for use in the county offices.
