(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) ABU DHABI, July 7. The rulers of nine Persian Gulf Emirates have indicated good progress in their plan to form a confederation. Meeting in Abu Dhabi for four hours yesterday, at two sessions, the rulers approved eight resolutions, and emerged smiling happily. Sheikh Isa Bin Sulman Alkhalifa. ruler of Bahrain, said: “Everything went very well.” The rulers, who constitute the confederation's Supreme Council, will meet again this morning for what is expected to be the final session. A newly-created temporary Federal council will also meet to elect a chairman to be approved by the Supreme Council. A final communique is expected later today.
