OVERSEAS EXCHANGES
SYDNEY Barrier stocks tended to overshadow Great Boulder in the afternoon session of trading. Mt Isa gained 40c to 870 c, B.H. South put on 52c to 714 c, N.B.H. rose 20c to 850 c, and New B.H. gained 70c to 1750 c. Nickels were also firmer. Silver Valley also stood out with the fully paid shares gaining 15c to 225 c. Banks were firmer with the Bank of N.S.W. leading the way with a 10c gain to 726 c.

MELBOURNE Notable gains were made by most minings issues again. Great Boulder finished up 110 c at 1600 c in step with New B.H. also making 110 c to 1760 c. North Kalgurli made 80c to 1270 c, and B.H. South up 70c to 730 c. C.R.A. lost 8c at 1910 c. Despite the solid gains the turnovers were not heavy. Ampol Exploration led the oils, making 18c to 448 c. Industrials continued on their steady note. C.S.R. made 10c to 640 c. The rises outnumbered the falls 109 to 54.
