CHAMPION IN ACTION.—R. A. Laver, of Australia, playing in the All England lawn tennis championships at Wimbledon. Laver won the men’s singles title when he beat his fellow countryman, A. D. Roche, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. Laver, a professional, won the title as an amateur in 1961 and 1962.
