R.S.A. FLATS SCHEME
Ex-Prisoners’ Help Tne Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Ex-prisoners of War Association has agreed to contribute $4OOO to provide two single pensioners' fiats at the Sandilandc development of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association. The former prisoners’ association said in a letter to the R.SA. that if a block of three flats was erected and identified with former prisoners of war, it would contribute, within five years, the balance required to complete the block. It asked that there should be some guarantee of tenancy for prisoners of war. The R.S.A. executive last evening welcomed the letter, and Mr J. Green, the president said he was sure that satisfactory arrangements could be made to meet the request.
