Week-end Burglaries
A cabinet in the bar of the Manhattan Club, Kerrs Road, was forced open between 2.10 a.m. and 11 a.m. yesterday and cash and cigarettes valued at $7l were stolen. Damage amounted to $lO. Property valued at $105.25 was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the car park of the Sandridge Hotel between 8.45 p.m. and 9.45 p.m. on Saturday. Between midnight on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday fence palings and posts valued at $25 were stolen from the front lawn of a house in Patten Street Sheets, blankets and pillow cases valued at $55.60 were stolen from a room in the Federal Hotel on Friday night. Clothing valued at $26 was stolen from a car parked either at the Russley Hotel or the Canterbury University at Ham on Friday evening.
