‘Foul Shots Now Legal

The International Badminton Federation has removed the distinction between legal and foul shots.
At the annual general meeting, it adopted New Zealand’s proposal to permit all doubtful hits. Previously, “woods” shots were allowed, but “double” hits were outlawed. The inter-zone finals of the Über Cup—women's world team trophy—will be held in Tokyo from June 8-14 next year.
