Min Flicka Impressive "The Press'* Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Sprinters attracted most attention at Woodville yesterday when final trials for Hastings were held 40 feet out on the course proper. Min Flicka and Hyfort were particularly impressive. The track was cutting out and times were slow. The fastest gallop was six furlongs in Imin 20 2-ssec run by Min Flicka with her stablemate, Blue Turtle. These horses, both of them in tomorrow’s Mahora Handicap, stayed close throughout their trials, clocking 40 3-ssec for the last three furlongs. Hyfort was a little more impressive than Royal Theme and General Myth in a similar gallop over six furlongs. They worked later in the session and clocked Imin 20 3-ssec, the last three furlongs in 40 4-ssec. Janeville and John Derry caught the eye as improvers when they finished together after a mile in Imin 52 3-ssec, the last six furlongs in Imin 23 l-ssec, and the final three furlongs in 42 3-ssec.
