Chch Actor In TV Series
Jonathan Elsom, an actor from Christchurch, will appear in two British television programmes of CHTV3 next week. On Monday at 4.21 p.m. a new series on the nature of drama, made for the Ministry of Education and designed for secondary school pupils will begin. Mr Elsom will take part in scenes from “Twelfth Night” as it would have been staged in Shakespeare's day. On Tuesday at 10.10 p.m. Mr Elsom will be one of the principals in “Guests of Honour,” one of the “Knock on Any Door” series. Mr _Elsom left Christchurch in 1959 on an acting scholarship and has worked in England on the stage and teleI vision ever since. His dozens iof television roles included lone in “The Avengers” last | year.
