NEW MAORI HOSTEL
Opening By Minister
Te Aranga Maori Hostel, at 90 Ensors Road, Opawa, will be officially opened by the Minister of Maori Affairs (Mr Hanan) on May 21 Formerly the hostel of the Christchurch Technical College and then leased as a hostel by the North Canterbury Hospital Board, Te Aranga has been made available by the Christchurch Tech, nical Institute and been renovated and equipped by the Maori Affairs Department. It will be managed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Christchurch to house 40 apprentices receiving intensive training as panel-beaters and motor mechanics at the institute.
