Aust. To Seek More Tourneys
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE. Australia will apply to hold seven open tennis tournaments this year. The president of the national association (Mr C. A. Edwards) said last evening: “The international federation has granted us only one, but 1 believe we should apply for seven.” He was commenting on applications by Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania to hold open tournaments later this year.
