£14m Contract For U.K. Firm

A £l4m contract has been awarded to a British firm to share in the building of the world's longest natural gas pipeline, between Iran and the Soviet Union. The British contribution to the project is to build and equip a gas-treating complex in Southern Iran to form part of a pipeline network from there to the Soviet Union through which 1650 million cubic feet of natural gas will be pumped every day.
