Methven District High School

Sir,—Mr Hester, chairman of the school committee, was reported in the April 19 issue of your paper, us being'“extremely disappointed’’ that the promised translation of the secondary department had been once more ignored by Mr Kinsella. These are gentle words. The parents of Methven pupils are angry to say the least Parents of pupils who normally attend a boarding school from form three, know very well their children will be competing with city children who have had all the opportunities of intermediate schools. Parents of pupils who desire to complete their secondary education in the local school (and this group is by far the majority) know that the present limitation of a district high school is frustrating both to pupils and teachers.—Yours, ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED PARENT. April 19, 1968.
