Mr Tyree, who specialises in aquatic photography, has had considerable experience on hydro-electric schemes. He was engaged recently on a big underwater survey in the Indian Ocean. Mr Yeldon has been the i Timaru Harbour Board’s diver for 12 years. He has descended to 180 feet, has ■ played a prominent part in < I the salvage of trawlers, and ■
has been employed on hydroelectric projects. Mr Yeldon did meticulous work on the Treneglos which was stranded on the reef off Patiti Point, south of Timaru, a few years ago. At one stage he was pinned to the reef when the ship shifted. Later he completed the survey when the vessel was towed off the reef and berthed at the port of Timaru.
