222 Million Lambs
(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 21. More than 222 m iambs have been produced tn New Zealand since 1962. A convoy of these lambs in double-deck tracks carrying 80 apiece and spaced 80 feet apart would cover 42,000 miles. It would fill No. 1 State Highway from its start at Awanul in Northland to Its finish at the Bluff and back 18 times. These deductions were passed on by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) to his audience at Te Rapa.
